I'm going to start this blog like many of our recent news reports start of late: *read this in the voice of James Earl Jones to add spice*

At midnight on 26 March 2020, South Africa went on lockdown. No more school, no more work, no more family visits, no more trips to the park or more, no more privacy from the world of social media, as we all started sharing information like which movies we watched, which series, how many boyfriends and poodles we've had. Of course we have also been tagged into posts stating that we're the rolling, naked drunk that will be joining the poster's "pub-crawl crew" after the lock down, or we're panicking and eating cheese puffs while wrapped in a burrito in their "lockdown crew" tags.

Social media has become an even crazier space than before (I know right?). So, I decided to put my social media to good use (not really, I've secretly done some of those quizzes and stuff) and I started making daily entries. Since making said entries, I've had people suggesting I start a blog, and by people I mean like 3 or 4 comments and my parents. I do realise that my children will probably loath scrolling through my Facebook one day, which is why I'm compiling it all here.

For anyone who doesn't have a cooking clue who I am. That's cool. I'm a 32 year old South African lady, with a husband that's 34 in real life but 65 in real, real life. I have 3 children: Leia aged 6, Leah aged 3 and Zach aged 1 year 6 months (because we still count the months until he turns 2). I also have three dogs Pippa and Poppet, who we guess are about 10 years old and Patches (you see what we did there? PPP) who is 6. I've also become partial to our house spiders, geckos and beetles, because my husband, won't let me get anymore pets.

Well, here goes. I hope you all enjoy this as much as the few people who responded to my posts.
